THE ANTI AGING SPECIAL

When we grow old, it’s not just our skin that’s affected.
The aging process affects our entire facial structure: our skin, muscles, fats, and bones.

All these changes in the different parts of our face structure contribute to signs of aging,
such as wrinkles, sunkenness, or sagging skin.

SKIN

Have you ever felt like no matter how much cream you put, your skin still remains dry?

This unfortunately is part of the aging process. When we age, our skin:
  • Becomes thinner and less elastic
  • Loses moisture over time
  • Reduces collagen and hyaluronic acid (HA) production
  • Becomes more dull
  • Pigmentation worsens; age spots or melasma might appear

WHAT CAN WE DO?

For Dull, Dehydrated Skin:
Hyaluronic acid skin boosters are a great way to restore hydration to the skin. Some of the benefits include:
  • Restoration of HA levels
  • Improvements in skin elasticity and firmness
  • Reduction of fine lines
  • More hydrated and dewy complexion

For Pigmentation:

Nd:YAG laser treatments can safely reduce the appearance of melasma and other pigmentation, while leaving surrounding skin unharmed.

BONES

When we age, our bones shrink. This occurs in our skull too, causing:
  • Shrinking nose bridges
  • Larger eye sockets
  • Flatter cheekbones

Without the structural support from the bone, other layers of soft tissue and skin start to sag, causing common signs of aging such as sunken eyes.

FATS

The fats in our faces are actually compartmentalised. This is how your cheek fats stay at your cheeks, and don’t spread to your neck, for instance.

A youthful face has the right amount of fat in the right places. But as we get older:
  • We lose weight in some areas, such as our forehead temples and upper cheeks, causing volume loss and sunkenness.

  • We also gain fats in other areas, such as our lower face and neck.

  • Our fats also tend to spread out, due to the weakening of the compartment barriers. This causes sagging, causing common problems such as nasolabial folds.

MUSCLES

Aging also leads to our muscles losing their tone and elasticity.

Combined with the weakening of other facial structures, this leads to sunken tear troughs, turkey necks, and sagging lower faces.

Frown lines and other wrinkles start to appear, namely due to facial muscles continually tugging at your skin over time, eventually creasing the skin.

WHAT CAN WE DO?

THREADLIFTS

Threadlifts are a non-surgical method of facial lifting, through the safe insertion of polydioxanone threads (PDO) under the skin. These threads stimulate the growth of new collagen, helping to lift and firm up sagging skin.

Some of the benefits include:
  • Skin rejuvenation and tightening
  • V-shaped face and sharper facial features
  • Enhanced collagen production
  • Safe, non-invasive procedure
  • Minimal downtime

DERMALIFT

The Dysport Dermalift is a skin tightening procedure that involves the injection of diluted Dysport (a type of botulinum toxin) into the skin. This has the effect of tightening collagen fibres, in turn giving one's face a lifted appearance.

Invented by renowned South Korean plastic surgeon, Dr. Lee Yong Sok, Dermalift provides instant skin lifting, giving one a more youthful and refreshed appearance.

FILLERS

Fillers are a type of injectable with minimal to no downtime. Fillers can restore lost facial volume due to the aging of our muscle, fats, and one structures, minimise deep-set wrinkles such as nasolabial folds, and smoothen skin.

Fillers are suitable for many facial areas:
  • Cheeks
  • Chin
  • Forehead & forehead temples
  • Lips
  • Nose
  • Tear Troughs

ANTI-WRINKLE INJECTIONS

Botulinum Toxin A (commonly known as Botox® / Dysport® / Xeomin®) is a neurotoxin commonly used to reduce the appearance of wrinkles. It works by temporarily blocking the nerve endings in muscles, reducing muscle contractions. This in turn allows facial muscles to relax, reducing unwanted facial lines.

Anti wrinkle injections can be used to improve:
  • Bunny/Lip lines
  • Crow's feet
  • Eyebrow lift
  • Forehead lines
  • Frown lines
